Welcome To Bristol ID Technologies

Our History

Bristol ID Technologies was founded in 1975 as Bristol Graphics Inc. and was a family owned business located in the town of Bristol, New York. In 1998 the business was acquired by a group of investors and re-named Bristol ID Technologies. In 2004 the company moved into a state of the art custom built facility located in Lima (pronounced /liːmə/), New York, just south of Rochester.

In 2008 Bristol ID acquired Cards by Dart and relocated the business from Dallas, Texas to Lima.

Today Bristol ID continues to grow and prosper under the leadership of a strong management team, the support of the Investors and, of course, our very happy customers.

Management Team

Joshua Hellman, President & CEO

Joshua has been with Bristol since December 2005. He joined Bristol ID after more than 12 years in the finance industry. Joshua has held finance positions at Ernst & Young, Citibank, Harris Interactive, and Kodak. He holds a Master of Business Administration from The University of Rochester’s Simon School of Business. He is currently on the Board of Directors for PIA.

Jim Morsch, Vice President of Research & Development

Jim has been with Bristol ID in a variety of roles since 1996. Jim oversees Prepress and printing operations. Jim is responsible for R&D and has successfully used his printing and materials expertise in developing cards that meet demanding specifications. Jim has earned Advanced Card Education (ACE-M) accreditation through ICMA.

Diane Morsch, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Diane has been with Bristol ID since 1998 and has been a member of the Management Team since 2003. She is a certified Professional Behavioral Analyst. Under her guidance, the Bristol Sales and Customer Service Teams have worked to create the best buying experience for Bristol’s customers.

Jessica Heatly, Director of Marketing

With the company since October 2022, Jessica has more than 20 years of experience serving small businesses in both the b2b and b2c markets. She has a strong entrepreneurial background and brings a journalistic approach to her work, monitoring the market for opportunities to gain market share and innovate.

Edward Schroeder, Vice President of Operations

Ed has been with Bristol ID since 2003, serving as Production Manager before assuming the role of VP of Operations in 2024. He oversees day-to-day operations, including Scheduling, Production, Quality, and Shipping. Drawing on his manufacturing and analytical experience, Ed has helped build and maintain high efficiency across all production aspects at Bristol ID to meet growing customer demands and adapt to market changes.
